Jacob Daymud was born around 1766 and lived in Maryland until at least 1787, when his first son was born there. He had moved to Loudoun County, Virginia by 1799, where he briefly had an account with the Mason family. By 1802, he owned a small farm in Cameron Parish. Jacob was settled in Leesburg by 1810, and lived there through at least 1820. He was likely the father of four sons with an unknown wife. One son, John Jacob Daymud, also settled in Loudoun County. His other three sons migrated to Ohio in the early 1820s. Jacob Daymud died sometime after 1820, and is buried in an unknown location.
